Kristin Juszczyk's journey into the world of fashion design is a tale of passion and creativity that knows no bounds. For those who may not know her, she is the wife of Kyle Juszczyk, the San Francisco 49er.
They got married in 2019 after meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, in 2014. Kristin was finishing up college when they met. In 2017, Kyle signed with the 49ers, which forced the couple to move across the nation. While Kristin originally had plans to be a realtor, she had to reevaluate what she wanted to do with her life. In the end, Kristin found a new career path in this transition: designing clothes.
Eventually, she became an expert in creating custom game-day outfits for NFL fans and the partners of athletes. In 2018, she launched a clothing brand called "Origin." Her goal was to create unique pieces that were only found in that store. Or, in her own words:
“I always say that you don’t go to Origin if you’re just looking for a white tee-shirt and plain leggings,” she said. “You’re going for that signature piece that people ask, ‘Oh my god, where did you get that? That’s so unique.’ That was the overall brand I wanted.”
While she stopped posting on the brand’s Instagram in late 2021, she continued to pursue her career by making custom NFL products.
For years, she created her own 49ers gear to wear at the games, but she took her talent to the next level in the 2023-2024 season when launching her “Designs by Kristin” brand. On her website, she writes she rediscovered her love for sewing after making customer for her and Kyle for Halloween, leading to her creating her own NFL gear by “reworking old t-shirts, jerseys, and even footballs into fresh designs."
She then started showing off her designs on Instagram, and other NFL wives + girlfriends started taking note. You can see all of her work on her website.
In December 2023, Simone Biles wore one of her designs while supporting her husband Jonathan Owens, a player from the Green Bay Packers. You can see the design process and the ending product here.
Her most famous work was when she gifted Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes custom puffer jackets, which had their partners, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, jerseys.
As she continues to expand her work, her husband and many NFL fans continue to support her by wearing her work:
