From January 21st- 26 the 2025-2026 fall/winter collection will be debuted in Paris.
Fashion Week in Paris goes back to the 17th century when the monarchy's patronage of the textile industry established Paris as a global fashion destination.
It started in the 1850s with their first show named, “Salon Shows,” organized by Charles Frederick Worth. The intrigue of this work came from presenting new collections with real models, which had never been done before. However, the first official event was held in October 1973, “The Battle of Versailles“, where American and French designers battled their fashion collections.
Today Paris Fashion Week is held twice a year between Jan/Feb and September. The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM) coordinates the events and brings together French and international design houses.
