UGGs have earned the title of most nostalgic shoe. In 1978, UGG was created by an Australian surfer, Brian Smith, in southern California. During the 1980s, they became surfers most-wanted shoes. To think that a fall essential was made for beach lovers is ironic. However, the most iconic era for UGGs was the 2000s. Celebrities like Paris Hilton, Vanessa Hudgens, and Snooki gave us some of the best moments with UGGs. They entered mainstream media, debuting on Vogue, and more pop culture icons began rocking their UGGs!
The 80s- No archives of UGGs since at the time it was a surfer shoe. However, till this day people use the shoe for the beach!
The 90s - The IT moment for UGGs. Pamela Anderson wore them with a red one piece while shooting Baywatch! Right before they hit mainstream media….
The 2000s- Juicy Couture and UGGs were basically the everyday look. Paris Hilton, Beyoncé, Nicole Richie and many more celebrities seen wearing UGGs. The style of shoe started to evolve as fashion progressed.
